The following recalls have been announced:

Chang Farm is recalling soy bean sprouts with the sell-by date of July 17, 2009, because the products might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This organism can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported to date, according to the company. The recalled products are packaged in 10-pound bulk bags and 12-ounce retail plastic bags, labeled under the Chang Farm brand as soy sprouts. About 3,000 Energizer Light On Demand wall plate night lights, manufactured in China and imported by Energizer of St. Louis, because they can overheat, especially if other devices are plugged into its outlets. This poses a fire risk. No incidents have been reported. The night lights were sold at mass merchandisers, office supply stores and other stores around the country as well as online between August 2008 and July 2009.
